SVG Design Svg Mask Not Working In Firefox PNG. I have an svg vector object that consists of a few paths, some of which need to be masked. From the psd, i exported the using css, i applied the mask to the image, like bellow, and in chrome and safari it works properly, but on firefox it doesnt (i am guessing on ie too). I should apply svg masks to few of images, but since this is the first time i am doing this, i ran into some problems. Since your mask contents are black (#000000) then they have no effect and your mask does nothing. The mask image is initialised to transparent black and then your mask contents are drawn on that. I 'm trying to add a mask from an svg in firefox but it's not working for composite elements. If you're targeting firefox, it has great svg support, so you can now use svg masks instead of css. There are some known issues with firefox support for masking, this is the last bug which needs to be fixed before morning. } and the actual mask/svg file is like now, this works great when viewed on chrome, but nothing shows on firefox (not to mention ie).
